Mountain View Tennis Club

Volunteers are why the Mountain View Tennis Club is one of the best public tennis clubs in the Bay Area. Our tournaments are well-run, fun, and have good food. We have tennis clinics, racquet demos, Swetka's discounts, social events, and two Dinners/General Meetings every year as a benefit of membership. We have a 50 year history as a volunteer-run club.

MVTC Grand Prix Invitational 2015 Tournament

We had a great tournament on 11/14/2015. There was nice weather (not too hot and not too cold, just right), good food, and lots of fun tennis. Food consisted of bagels, smoked salmon, and fruit for breakfast and Pizza My Heart for lunch. The World Team Tennis format provided quick and non-stop play. The Grand Prix Invitational Women’s winner was Marla Lindsay with 20 points out of 20 points (4 rounds of World Team tennis sets). 2nd place with 19 points was Diana Lee and 3rd place was Kathy Nichols with 18 points.

Court Report August 2015

President’s Message
Dear MVTC members,

This has been a busy and eventful year for MVTC with 6 tournaments so far, over 3 or 4 USTA teams registered per league season, and over 250+ members signed up for this year. This compares with 177 members for 2013 and 239 for 2011. Our social activity has also increased with several food donation drives and a Tennis Clinic. All of these augur well for our 50th anniversary coming up in 2016.
